Texas A&M University Libraries is home to Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin’s personal collection. As HBO was airing the last season of TV series Game of Thrones I thought this would be a great opportunity to capitalize on the event.

My team pitched the idea of hosting a special "pop-up exhibit" event for two days during the afternoon so that select items from the collection could be made more accessible to the public. I strategized with my team, coordinating tasks, display layouts, which items to feature, collection security, duration of the event, deliverables, and advertising. We secured a special A&M video interview with George R.R. Martin for viewing, put together a photo-op, and procured the collection's curator for the event to answer patrons' questions.
